Consecration
of the Church of Divine Mercy
I would like to share with
you the photographs of the Church of
Divine Mercy in Pitampura (a three level building) because
many of you
helped with your generous donations to make the dream of
the parishioners a
reality after twenty years of services in the parking lots.
The consecration of the Church took
place on the Feast of the Divine Mercy
on April 19, 2009. It is a beautiful little Church and the
parishioners are
proud of it. On the day of the consecration, it was packed
with people.
There were over a thousand people and many had to follow
the services from
outside. Three bishops and dozens of priests and nuns participated
along
with hundreds of Catholics from near and far as well as
nearby
non-Catholics. It was a sight to behold, especially after
the services -
the pride, the enthusiasm, and a feeling of satisfaction
that they finally
have a Church.
My special thanks to each one of
you who helped with the construction of
this Church with your donations. You not only helped to
build the Church but
you also motivated the laid-back parishioners in Pitampura
to participate and
make this Church a reality. But we still have a little more
work to do. We
need funds for kneelers, benches, and many other items,
including a sacristy
(which they do not have now and plan to build behind the
altar). If any of you
would like to contribute, please send your checks made out
to the Church of Divine
Mercy, Pitampura to

May God continue to bless you all.
Best regards
